Confidence and Self-Esteem

We all have times when we lack confidence and do not feel good about ourselves. But when low self-esteem becomes a long-term problem or stops us from doing what we want, it can have a harmful effect on our mental health and our day-to-day lives.

So what is self-esteem? Self-esteem is the opinion we have of ourselves. When we have healthy self-esteem, we tend to feel positive about ourselves and about life in general and we feel more confident about ourselves. It makes us better able to deal with life's ups and downs.

When our self-esteem is low, we tend to see ourselves and our life in a more negative and critical light, we also tend to have less confidence in ourselves and our abilities. We also feel less able to take on the challenges that life throws at us.

Do I have low Self-Esteem or lack Confidence?

Terrified of giving presentations? Need a confidence boost to help pass your driving test or exams? Want to feel better about yourself? Don't feel worthy? Have a general lack of belief in yourself and your abilities?

Do you tell yourself you're "too stupid" to apply for a new job or that "nobody cares" about you? Do you lack the courage to just be yourself or are stopping yourself getting on with what you want to achieve in life?

Do you have healthy self-esteem but lack confidence in certain areas or aspects of your life or body imagine and need a bit of help?

If you have answered yes to any of these questions then you may have low self-esteem or lack confidence and this could be affecting your relationships and quality of life, help is at hand.

How can we help?

The subconscious mind – our “inner voice” – controls quite a bit about how we feel about ourselves. It can be our keenest supporter, telling us to feel good about the way we look and our abilities. Or it can be our most fierce critic, filling our minds with negative, unhealthy thoughts about ourselves.

Hypnotherapy can access these unconscious, automatic thoughts, and through the power of suggestion, begin to unseat and change them.

Simply put, hypnosis can be a very powerful tool for targeting the root cause of low self-esteem or lack of confidence. It can help prevent those negative, overly critical thoughts from telling us how to feel about ourselves and empower us to rid ourselves of these negative thinking patterns.
